Fall Bird Walk with Haynes Miller

Haynes Miller PhotoNahanton Park offers a mix of woodlands and meadows along the Charles River, along with the Newton City garden plots, making it one of the best birding spots in Newton with almost 200 species reported. We'll be looking for continuing breeders, such as House Wren and Common Yellowthroat, and welcoming fall migrants, especially Warblers - Blackpoll, Palm, Nashville, and many others. Meet at the lot accessed by the Winchester St entrance. Waterproof shoes and binoculars are recommended. Cancelled if steady rain. Co-sponsored with Newton Conservators.

Meet at the lot accessed from the Winchester St. entrance to the Park. If concerned about the weather, please call.

Trip Leader: Haynes Miller (617-413-2419).
